We require all new clients to attend a complimentary studio orientation prior to their first rental. At the orientation, a staff member will lead you through the studio’s main features and address any questions you may have at that time. We will also go over the terms outlined in the Rental Agreement, and add a copy of your ID to your client file. Studio orientations are scheduled by appointment only. We cannot accommodate walk-ins.
If you are from out of town or otherwise cannot be present for a physical tour and would like to receive a virtual tour instead, please let us know so we can accommodate you accordingly.To schedule a new client studio orientation, please complete this booking request form at the bottom of the booking page.

escheduling Policy
Renter is entitled to one complimentary reschedule (minus 5% transaction fee) if the request to reschedule is made in writing with at least 2 weeks (14 days) of advanced notice of the original scheduled booking date. No requests to reschedule will be granted with less than 14 days of advanced notice prior to the originally scheduled rental date(s). Cancellation policy protocol applies if there are less than 14 days before the scheduled booking. See Cancellation policy below
You may cancel or reschedule your session by emailing Cynthia Starich, booking manager, at photos@northernlightsphotostudio.com. Please include the original rental date session, time & day along with the new booking date & time you would like to reschedule your session to. (Check studio availability on our website under the "Calendar" tab at www.northernlightsphotostudio.com.

All renters are required to pay the full amount of the rental upon booking. Any damages, time overages, or cleaning fees with be automatically charged to this credit card, not to exceed $200. If accrued fees exceed $200, the full security deposit fee will be charged to the client’s listed card and an invoice will be sent to the client for the remaining balance of fees per the Studio Rental Agreement.

Always arrive on time to your booked session. Check in at the Point On The River front desk on the second floor to retrieve the rental key to the studio. Be sure to complete the client check out guide and return the studio key back to the front desk on time to avoid time overage charges to your rental. ($50 minimum, per studio Rental Agreement.

The studio space will not be available to you until your scheduled rental time. Be sure to include all set up time in your booking timeframe.

Northern Lights Photo Studio understands extreme weather conditions may pose a risk to guest safety. In the event of severe weather, the client is entitled to one complimentary Weather Day (per scheduled session) in which case will permit the session to take place on an alternate day. The rescheduled session must occur within 7 days of the originally scheduled rental session. All Weather Day reschedule requests must be emailed to photos@northernlightsphotostudio.com.

Total suite space – 1,200 square feet. The shooting room specifically is approximately 18 x 25 sq ft.
Ceiling Height – Approximately 9ft in some areas, 10ft in others

You must be at least 21 years of age to rent Northern Lights Photo Studio.

Yes. Feel free to bring your own refreshments to store in the fridge for the duration of your session/event. Fridge contributions are always welcome! Never take more than you give.

Always ensure the studio is left in the exact condition it was found in, if not better. Complete the Client check-list at the end of every session. Make sure ANY and ALL garbage is collected and disposed of in proper trash receptacles. All counter tops, tables, chairs, and makeup/vanity table tops should all be wiped down of any/all make up, debris or spills. All marking tape used is peeled off the floor. All dishes are washed, dried, & put away. See the full check list here

Contact your rental manager ASAP to make them aware of any damages or malfunctioning equipment. Clients are liable for all damages to the studio and studio’s equipment. All or part of the studio’s security deposit will be automatically charged to client’s listed credit card as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

To avoid the $50 minimum time overage charge, always plan ahead and check out on time.

For photo sessions where the main shooting room will be utilized for photography, we recommend not exceeding 15 guests. For events where the studio space will not be used for photography/shooting purposes, the extra available space allows for 25 persons comfortably.
